How To Pass Your Driving Test First Time.
To be able to pass your driving test first time you have to show that you are a safe driver and we will look at that under the section of how to impress the examiner, however long before the driving test is your first lesson and this is where you start to plan for passing.
Prior to taking the driving test we have formulated a 3 step checklist for you to follow.
1. Have you completed all the sections to learning to drive (see below) and can you do everything without needing any assistance from your driving instructor?
2. Have you passed a mock driving test?
3. Are you driving without the support of your driving instructor?
It is these 3 elements which you need to check off so you can be personally sure you are prepared to pass your driving test. Yes your driving instructor can check this for you, but the thing about driving and driving safe is you need to be able to recognise what is safe and correct and what isn’t. This 3 point checklist will help you identify any areas of weakness and will allow you to go into the driving test full of confidence that you can pass your driving test at the first attempt.

How Many Lessons Do You Need?
The DVSA state that you need 47 hours of professional driver training and an additional 20 hours of private practice but we believe you can do much better than this if you adopt our policy of learning.
1. Pass your theory test quickly
2. Take a minimum of 2 hours a week, 4 hours if you can.
3. As soon as you pass your theory test book your practical test in line with the availability of your driving instructor and schedule in your lessons.
4. Minimise the chances of failing by completing your course passing a mock test and being able to drive without the support of your driving instructor.
The reason why the average number of driving lessons is so high is due to people taking one hour a week, the problem with that is you learn very little because you forget most of what you learn and therefore the following driving lesson is often a recap. By taking 2 to 4 hours a week it will reduce the overall number of hours you are going to need.

How To Impress The Driving Examiner.
The point of the driving test is to make sure you are a safe driver and that you can drive safely without the support and assistance of anyone else. There is no magical science behind the driving test, it really is as simple as that.
If you asked many learner drivers what does driving safely mean, they will mention things such as speeding, crashing, red lights etc. And while these points are important they don’t cover everything.
The four following points are exactly what will impress the driving examiner and we will teach you these factors on every single driving lesson you have with us.
1. To have the mentality of a safe driver
2. To obey the Highway Code
3. To spot hazards and avoid them
4. To be in control of the car at all times
As you can see if you take on every aspect of learning to drive with those 4 elements as your guide to be successful in the skill, not only will you be able to learn the skill quickly and to be able to determine what is required, you will also start to become a natural driver and will naturally demonstrate this on your driving test.
